Asahi Miina 21e Battle counter all set up for the Lumina and Victory Frames
Easy to mount, on top or to a front board of your cabinets with mounting plate, included.
This is what you will get, one Asahi Miina 21e battle counter and mounting plate and splices.
The unit requires 24VAC which you can get from your machine's power supply. The splices are included with this Battle Counter.
They are in the parts Bag.
TO INSTALL THIS BATTLE COUNTER MAKE SURE YOUR PACHINKO MACHINE IS TURNED OFF!
Use a plyers to in stall the splices as shown. Remember to DO THIS on the side of the transformer that goes to the pachinko machine. (DON'T PUT IT IN THE PLUG SIDE THAT GOES IN THE WALL, THAT IS 110 VOLTS AND WILL FRY THE BATTLE COUNTER).
This PICTURE shows how to put on the splice on your transformer wires, you will do both wires (one on each wire). It does not matter which wire (red or yellow) on the battle counter is spliced to which leg on the 24 volt side.
Once on use the plyers to insert the splice blade in, again remember to slide the battle counter wire fully in the stub side of the splice and slide the splice over the one of the 24 volt wires.
Now close the the plastic lock over on the splice
Now plug the three CN wires on the battle counter hook up on pachinko machine. Red plug on CN3, Green plug on CN4, and Yellow plug on CN5.
This is the board you plug the connectors into.
Close up of the board the Japanese words to look for the three connectors.
START: (The symbols begin to spin.)
OOATARI: (Takes place when three same pictures align in a line" and that "Volumes of balls will be gained at this time.)
KAKUHEN: (Change is a high probability, for a big bonus round.)
INSTALLINT TO THE SANKYO VICTOR FRAME
There shouldn't be any problems connecting it up to the Victory frame, the outputs are pretty much the same spec as on the Lumina frame.
It shouldn't be possible to cause any damage to the battle counter by connecting it to the wrong output on a Victory frame, as they are all opto-isolator outputs.
On the Victory frame the Red plug should go to J1CN2 (it might also work in J1CN1), the Green plug should go to J1CN3 and the Yellow plug should go to J1CN4.

INSTALLINT FOR THE SPEAKER TYPE CONNECTOR ON THE BACK OF SOME FRAMES
There is Cables that match up to the three Connectors and you will bare the wires to hook up the battle counter.
As to which one, you will have to play around with the outputs.

You might be able to match up with the words, with this picture.

INSTALLINT FOR THE ULTRAMANs, JAWS, AND WINTER SONA TYPE FRAMES

The Cable connector for this type of frame as of now can only be got on Yahoo Japan Auction at a total cost of 2,500 yen.

TO DO A FULL RESET ON THE BATTLE COUNTER
You turn off the power to the battle counter, then hold in the left hand button, not the call button, turn the power back on, the battle counter will run a self test and light up everything, so you can see if anything is burned out.
Then you turn the power off, then turn it back on again after a few moments, the battle counter will reset everything to zero.
Now you can start from zero on everything!
HOW TO CHECK THE BATTLE COUNTER'S CONNECTORS FUNCTIONS
Before reconnecting the battle counter, test it separately from the machine, you might be stuck in a mode, and it could take two runs through the test sequence below before everything starts working correctly.
To test the battle counter, unplug all the connections apart from power, and use a small bit of wire to bridge across the two pins of the start signal (red connector). Connect it for half a second then remove it, each time you do this the start pocket hit counter should increase by one.
Next take another small bit of wire and connect across the Ooatari input (green connector), leave this connected and you should get your bonus lights flashing, and the Bonus count should increase by one. Connect across the start pins a few times while in bonus round mode (it might advance the start counter but probably won't).
Disconnect both bits of wire and try a few connections of the start pocket input again, the start pocket hit count should reset and start counting from zero.
Now take a third piece of wire and connect the Ooatari input (green connector) and the Kakuhen input (yellow connector), again you should go into fever round mode and the bonus count will increment. Pulse the start pocket input a couple of times, then remove the wire from the Ooatari input (green), while leaving the Kakuhen (yellow) connected.
The pattern of flashing lights should change. Now pulse the start pocket a few more times, the start count should reset and start from zero again. Reconnect the green Ooatari connector, and you should get the Bonus counter increasing along with the consecutive bonus counter.
Disconnect both the wires on the Ooatari (green) and Kakuhen (yellow) connectors, and pulse the start pocket input (red) a few more times to make sure that the battle counter has gone back into normal mode play.
